Support services for young children and their families. Therapeutic group work with children aged 1-3. Pre-school group work with 3-5 year olds. After school support groups for 4-6 year olds. Family support service, with individual support for parents and carers. Individual support for children aged 3-16. Toy library with parent and toddler play sessions and toy borrowing service. Some charges made.

Blakestown and Mountview Youth Initiative

Support for young people at risk aged 14-18 and their families. Primary focus is in the area of prevention. All referrals come from other agencies.

Support service to help integrate young offenders back into the community. Individual needs analysis and personal planning, intensive personal support, including court support and ongoing contact. Bridge

Intensive probation supervision initiative for young adult offenders run in partnership with Probation and WelfareService and VEC. Aims to prevent re-offending by young adult offenders who would otherwise serve substantial prison sentences. Works with individuals in improving their self-esteem, education and employment prospects.

Clondalkin Youth Service and Information Centre

CYS provides and supports local clubs, youth groups and local schools. It also offers a range of public services which include CV typing, faxing, photocopying and laminating for a small fee. CYIC offers information on many topics, including education, careers, employment and training, travel and migration, sports and leisure. CYIC also provides free public internet access

Community Welfare Services for Travellers

Provides welfare services for travellers, including advice on income, advice on medical and social support entitlements, referral to emergency accommodation, and advocacy. Available to travellers living in official halting sites, in-group housing schemes or by the road. Visits can be made to sites by appointment. Session in Dun Laoghaire employment exchange (Thurs 11.30am-12 noon).

Counselling service for victims of rape and sexual abuse. 24-hour freephone crisis helpline. Individual counselling, therapy and group work available for men and women. Sliding scale of charges for groups and therapy. Crisis counselling free.
